Kenya & Northern Tanzania: pleasant
day-time and cool evenings; Ngorongoro can be quite chilly.
Southern Tanzania: warmer
temperatures year round – humid near
the coast.
Coastal Zone, Mombasa & Zanzibar: warm,
balmy, often humid, climate.

| The weather is generally pleasant throughout the year in both
Kenya and Tanzania.
Regardless of the time of year, temperatures during the day are warm
and comfortable, cooling down considerably at night in areas such
as Ngorongoro, Serengeti, Masai Mara and Amboseli. We recommend
a warm jacket for cool evenings & early mornings whilst on Safari. In
coastal areas and Tanzania’s Selous and Ruaha Parks, it is generally
hot and humid, and you will require clothing that will keep you cool. |

| Rainy seasons have become less predictable but generally long
rains occur in late March, April and May and the short rains should
fall in October, November and early December.
Rain in Africa is always a blessing and rarely more than a minor
inconvenience. You will usually enjoy bright, sunny mornings
followed by showers later on in the day. It is one of the most
beautiful seasons in which to visit, and both sunsets and savannas
are often at their most stunning after a brief downpour. The relatively
cool, dry season is from June to October. January to March
are usually the warmest months. |
